Senseo® is a well known collaboration between Philips and Douwe Egberts. When the Senseo® brand required a new website, Lostboys was comissioned for the job. Lostboys in turn tasked XComplica with building and deploying the MOSS WCM components required to bring the Lostboys designs to life. A succesful cooperation resulted in a beautiful, modern and very useable website.
By desiging the site in a truly flexile way for content managers, new content such as campaigns and products are easily added without any need for additional development.
Once the success of the Netherlands version of the site was evident, the site was deployed to many other countries and in many other languages, making this a truly global deployment of a Microsoft SharePoint Office Server Web Content Management site.
Douwe Egberts needed rebranding of their website and chose to upgrade to a new technology at the same time. The technology chosen was Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007, a new product at the time. XComplica was hired by Lostboys to act as the MOSS experts and ensure the success of the project. XComplica also acted in a mentoring capacity for the Lostboys developers who did not have any experience with MOSS 2007 at that time.
XComplica successfully trained the Lostboys staff in developing public facing websites with pixel perfect precision using MOSS 2007. We thus ensured that the Douwe Egberts web site was one of the earliest professional MOSS internet sites to go live.
The DE site for the Netherlands was a great success and has since been internationalized and deployed to many other countries.
Multi-M/IT was in the process of integrating existing ASP.NET and other systems into a Microsoft Office SharePoint Server portal. Due to our extensive experience with MOSS, XComplica was brought in to ensure the project was done correctly and within budget.
The project proceeded smoothly and the applications were rapidly incorporated into the new MOSS intranet.
The next step was to create a Single Sign On solution that could accommodate multiple authentication providers, so that partners could use existing authentication mechanisms and still have uninterrupted access to the new Multi-M/IT intranet. A custom extension of ASP.NET forms built by XComplica solved this problem elegantly and successfully. At present time there are 3 authentication methods used in the portal, and Multi-M/IT developers are using the model built by XComplica to add more.
SaraLee felt the need to create a platform where they could collaborate on innovation with the general public as well as potential partners.
This platform was designed by Lostboys and XComplica was involved in development of the more complex Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 components. Amongst others, development included a workflow component that enables SaraLee to monitor and manage all the content being created by users and partners of the site. This ensures that no idea goes unnoticed.

XComplica was commissioned by Lostboys to implement this site based on the Lostboys designs. We decided to use ASP.NET MVC which was a new framework at that time to build the site. The project was implemented successfully and the new framework proved to be effective.
The project was implemented on time and within budget, and the choice of technology was influential in achieving these results.
